Datarock - Computer camp love

Yesterday I went to a no-lan party with a friend of mine who is the king of retro gaming. He demonstrated that by beating everyone at Lotus (which I’m sure everyone knows what it is:)

For me on the other hand all of this was the first time. First time in Kiberpipa, even thou I live across the street from it, first time playing Lotus, first time playing some arcade fighting game, where you have to kick your opponents ass (and he did), first time playing Wolfenstein 3D, first time seeing a guy solve a Rubik’s cube in 33 seconds with one hand (he did it in 17 seconds with both hands. And I know this, because he pulled out his laptop and timed it.), first time touching a Commodore 64 (hence the song:) and a ZX Spectrum. I noticed how ZX Spectrum only has yellow, red, green and blue color in his stripes but Comodore 64 also has an orange color, so in a way C64 wins :)

So all and all it was a fun experience, because I got to play lots of retro games witch is perfect for me, cause I get bored quickly (well, I suck at playing them) and this way I still get to say I played them, even thou I was twentysomething at the time. Now I only wish that some day I’ll get to try those old Commodores.
